Interested in Directing a Show at NCP?
The New Castle Playhouse is now accepting show submissions for our 2027 season, and we invite directors to be part of the process.
If you are interested in submitting and directing a production, please complete the form below as we begin planning a dynamic and engaging season. We are seeking a variety of productions that reflect the diversity of our audiences and artistic goals.
We are looking for shows of all types, including:
- Large and small productions
- Musicals and plays
- Comedies and dramas
- Lighthearted entertainment and thought-provoking works
- Special Events
Our goal is to build a season that appeals to a broad range of audiences while offering meaningful opportunities for artists and performers.
Some Specifics:
Submissions may include, but are not limited to:
- Main Stage Summer Musical (Augustine Auditorium)
A recognized, popular title with strong audience appeal across all ages - Annex Theatre Musical (Black Box)
A smaller-scale musical with a limited cast and minimal set requirements - Art / “Theatre People” Show
Often a straight play with modest production needs - Comedy Feature
A show that leaves audiences laughing and entertained - Holiday / Family-Friendly Production (December)
A high-interest show designed to attract large seasonal audiences - Youth Theatre Musical (Under 90 Minutes)
Geared toward young audiences and performed during the school year - Youth Theatre Play (Under 90 Minutes)
A play suitable for young performers and audiences

Additional Information:
- If you would like to submit a theatre résumé, please email it to office@newcastleplayhouse.org, and it will be included with your submission.
- The 2027 season will run January through December, with selections finalized in Fall 2026. All applicants will be notified of their submission status no later than October 2026.
